The CPC Administrator is the administrative gatekeeper to the mental health service fund. The CPC office receives applications requesting county funding for services for persons with disabilities. The primary responsibilities of the CPC administrator include:

• Develop the county management plan and annual mental health services budget
  
• Determine who is eligible for county funding for services
  
• Contract with service providers and authorize service funding
  
• Authorize payments from the mental health service fund on behalf of eligible consumers
  
• Utilization review - see that the consumer gets the services they really need, and that the county is purchasing quality services
  
• Conduct consumer and provider surveys
  
• Make reports to the Iowa Department of Human Services
  
• Public Education - inform people of services and supports available in our county
