The office is open to the public, for walk-in traffic,
Monday through Thursday 8:00 am - 12 noon;
afternoons and Fridays are reserved for
scheduled work and appointments.

General Assistance provides emergency assistance for the needy and poor in Louisa County. If criteria is met the assistance that can be provided is: food, rent, shelter, emergency medical, transportation, utilities and burials. The Community Services office refers the individuals to resources available to them.

Case Management provides Targeted Case Management to Medicaid eligible adults, for individuals with Chronic Mental Illness, Mental Retardation, and Developmental Disabilities. Targeted Case Management Services are provided for Medicaid eligible children with diagnosed Mental Retardation, on the Home and Community Based MR/Waiver. Targeted Case management coordinates and monitors services chosen by the individual to assist them in achieving goals to maintain living in the least restrictive setting possible. The CPC Administrator is the administrative gatekeeper to the mental health service fund. The CPC office receives applications requesting county funding for services for persons with disabilities. The primary responsibilities of the CPC administrator include:
