To register to vote in Iowa, you must:
Be a citizen of the United States and resident of Iowa.
Be at least 17 1/2 years old and to vote you must be 18.
Not have been convicted of a felony.
Not currently be judged mentally incompetent by a court.
Give up your right to vote in any other place.

To vote you must: Be 18 years of age or older.
Be register 10 days before primary and general elections.
Be register 11 days before other elections.
