To register to vote in Iowa, you must:

be a citizen of the United States and resident of Iowa.
be at least 17 1/2 years old and to vote you must be 18.
not have been convicted of a felony.
not currently be judged mentally incompetent by a court.
give up your right to vote in any other place.

To vote you must:

be 18 years of age or older.
be registered 10 days before primary and general elections.
be registered 11 days before other elections.
